The nomination

The teams were nominated by two of their colleagues, Louise Toler Interim Head of Service for Locality Therapy & Nursing Services and Operations Manager for South East District Nurses and South Community Therapy Service Kay Woodward.

Louise commented:

“The Resourcing Team have made an outstanding contribution to the District Nursing service over the past 12–18 months, supporting the recruitment of a significant number of staff during a particularly challenging period. They have been exceptionally responsive, flexible and solutions‑focused, working closely with services to develop new and innovative recruitment approaches, most notably the introduction and evolution of recruitment days.

“The team have transformed the process so that recruitment days are now planned and delivered by them from start to finish. This has removed a considerable operational burden from the District Nursing service and allowed clinical leaders to focus on identifying the right candidates and assessing values, skills and potential.

“On the day, the team work seamlessly together to deliver a slick, well‑organised and professional assessment centre experience. Their collaborative approach, attention to detail and clear pride in their work ensures candidates see Oxford Health at its very best, creating a positive and welcoming impression for potential new colleagues.

“Their commitment, professionalism and partnership working have made a tangible difference to recruitment outcomes and service sustainability. They are welcoming and friendly, a real pleasure to work with.”

Kay added:

“The Talent Acquisition Partner Team demonstrated outstanding commitment, professionalism and teamwork in delivering the recent District Nursing Newly Qualified Nurse recruitment day.

“The event was extremely well planned and meticulously organised, resulting in a smooth, efficient and well‑paced day for candidates and staff alike. From preparation through to delivery, the team worked seamlessly together, ensuring the process ran to time, felt welcoming and reflected the values of the organisation. Their calm coordinated approach created a positive experience for all involved and allowed clinical teams to focus fully on assessing candidates.

“As a direct result of their hard work and expertise, 24 newly qualified nurse roles were offered across the county, representing a major achievement for District Nursing and a significant step forward in strengthening our future workforce.

“What stood out most was the team’s collective approach. The Talent Acquisition Partners supported one another throughout the day, communicated clearly and worked collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues. Their shared commitment to quality, efficiency and candidate experience was evident at every stage.”
