Buckinghamshire Adult Community Eating Disorder Service is a specialist eating disorder service. We diagnose and treat adults with the following eating disorders:
- Anorexia nervosa
- Bulimia nervosa
- Binge eating disorder
- Other specified feeding or eating disorder (OSFED)
Where we work
The service is based at the Whiteleaf Centre, Aylesbury. Appointments may also be offered at Saffron House in High Wycombe, depending on clinician availability.

How we help
We support people with eating disorders through assessment and specialist treatments such as:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for eating disorders (CBT-E and CBT-T)
- Maudsley treatment for eating disorder (MANTRA)
- Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM)
- Body image and self-esteem interventions
- Guided Self-Help
- Meal planning
- Weight restoration support
- Nutrition groups
All our staff have specialist skills and training to support someone with an eating disorder.
Confidentiality
Everything you say is confidential. We keep records on a secure system and share information with the team, but we do not share to anyone beyond this without your consent.
We would only break confidentiality if we were worried you or someone else was at risk of harm, and we would discuss this with you beforehand.
We would ask you who the best person for us to speak to would be. This could be your parents, your partner, someone you live with, a close friend, or your GP, for example.
