How to contact SPA (Single Point of Access) and UCR (Urgent Community Response)

For all urgent and routine healthcare needs, please contact SPA on 01865 903750 between the hours of 8am-8pm, 7 days a week. Outside of these hours, please contact 111 or in an emergency, call 999.

If you are a healthcare professional, please see the Trust Intranet or Directory of Service (DOS) for our email address and HCP phone number for SPA, UCR or other urgent/same-day referral pathways.

This flow chart is to assist care home colleagues managing urgently unwell residents with a view to reducing 999 calls and unnecessary conveyance to hospital.

There will be occasions where it is appropriate to call an ambulance and arrange for emergency department visits, assessment and possible admission.
