Referral criteria
We provide care and support to people who are:
- Aged 14-35 years
- Registered with a GP in Buckinghamshire
And are experiencing some of the following:
- Feeling disconnected and preferring to be alone
- Feeling that people or places seem strange or unfamiliar
- Confused or muddled thinking
- Troubled by unusual ideas or thoughts
- Seeing, hearing, or experiencing things others do not
- Struggling with daily life
- Having these experiences from once a month to every day
- Having a family member with psychosis or schizotypal personality disorder
Who can access BEEP?
We welcome referrals from:
- Young people themselves (self-referrals)
- Families/carers/friends
- University/College tutors/nurses
- GPs or other healthcare professionals (e.g. psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, support workers)
- Third sector organisations
The person being referred must have consented to the referral being made.
How to make a referral to BEEP
We take self-referrals and can be contacted through our email address or phone number below.
Referrals can also be made by your GP or other health care professional who will send it to the appropriate single point of access who will get in touch with us.

Once the referral is received, our team will review the information provided and either request additional information or offer an assessment.
