Are you caring for someone with Dementia? Next Carers Group Monday 6th July

We know that looking after someone with dementia can be challenging, and carers can often find themselves feeling stressed, isolated, down, and worried. The good news is that help is available.

Oxfordshire Talking Therapies is running a free group designed to support people caring for someone with dementia. The group uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy strategies which are evidence-based and designed to support carers in their ability to deal with stress, cope with difficult thoughts and emotions, and understand dementia and their reaction to it.

If you are a carer for someone who has a diagnosis of dementia and are looking for ways to manage stress and care more effectively for your relative or friend this group may be for you.

Our next group will be running in Cowley Oxford between 12:30-14:30 from Monday 6th July for 12 weeks.

If you would like to know more, please contact Oxfordshire Talking Therapies directly by emailing oxon-talking-therapies@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk or calling on 01865 901222. Just let us know you are interested in the CBT for Carers of People with Dementia group.
