Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is incredibly delighted to share that we were shortlisted for the Nursing Times Award 2025 in the Sustainability in Nursing and Midwifery category.
Nominated for our innovative, Community Public Health Nurse Led project: ‘Leave the Paper Behind: Reducing the environmental impact of postal communication with service users’.
This nomination is a powerful recognition of our commitment to embedding sustainability into healthcare, rethinking how we work to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
Deputy Chief Nurse Fletcher Angie said
“The evening was a powerful celebration of the dedication, innovation, and leadership shown by nurses across the country. Huge congratulations to Kirsty and Comfort for leading this impactful work. Being shortlisted is a major achievement and to us, they’re already winners for driving innovation and greener care”.

Being a finalist among such inspiring projects from across the UK is a true honour and a testament to the passion and dedication of our team.
Although we didn’t take home the trophy this time, the ceremony was a celebration of excellence, innovation, and shared purpose.
It was an unforgettable evening filled with pride, inspiration, and a collective drive to make healthcare better for people and for the planet.
