Luther Street Medical Centre is an award-winning GP surgery providing healthcare to people experiencing homelessness in Oxford city. The team is dedicated to ensuring patients have access to a full range of primary care services and mental health support – continuously making a difference to vulnerable people in our communities.

Luther Street Medical Centre Team was nominated by an anonymous colleague – for the incredible life changing service they provide.
Their colleague commented:
“They are an amazing team, providing medical and social support for the homeless and vulnerably housed population in Oxford City.
“The team provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental care, recognising the impact of homelessness, stigma, and complex life experiences.
“Building trusting relationships through continuity of care, flexible appointments, and outreach clinics where patients feel comfortable.
“Offering wrap-around support, such as help with benefits, housing referrals, addiction services, mental-health support, food/ clothing provision, or help with paperwork.
“They treat everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of background, substance use, or engagement history. And they are accessible, with walk-in sessions, no fixed address needed to register, and assisting with communication barriers.
“They help people get back on their feet, housed, and offer long standing support even once stably housed.
“They always go above and beyond.”
