The nomination

Joel was nominated by his colleague Clinical Nurse Lead for Cotswold House Marlborough Estelle Hyde.

Estelle commented:

“I am proud to nominate Joel for this Exceptional People Award, for his outstanding role‑modelling as an academic CBT Supervisor, CBT therapist and RMN Nurse. Joel’s combination of clinical rigor and compassion with leadership qualities makes him an exceptional role model.

“When I was anxious about sharing session recordings, he encouraged me with compassion, he normalised my vulnerability into learning and restoring my confidence. He consistently created a learning culture within our supervision group using his methodological rigour to case formulation discussions.
