We currently accept referrals from GPs and other professional mental health services. Unfortunately, at this time we do not accept self-referrals.<\/p>\n<p>Signs that someone may need a referral to our service include (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preoccupation with food and eating<\/li>\n<li>Preoccupation with body shape and\/or weight<\/li>\n<li>Restricted eating:\n<ul>\n<li>Significantly limiting the quantity of food eaten<\/li>\n<li>Significantly limiting the types of food eaten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Binge-eating<\/li>\n<li>Purging behaviours such as:\n<ul>\n<li>Excessively exercising<\/li>\n<li>Self-inducing vomit<\/li>\n<li>Laxative misuse<\/li>\n<li>Diuretic misuse<\/li>\n<li>Diet Pills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Rapid weight loss<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Acceptance of referrals is <u>NOT<\/u> based on Body Mass Index.<\/p>\n<h2>Referral form<\/h2>\n<p>You can access our referral form below. Please include the following details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Details of eating disordered behaviour<\/li>\n<li>Details of any previous treatment<\/li>\n<li>Results of most recent blood test<\/li>\n<li>Current care plan<\/li>\n<li>Weight history<\/li>\n<li>Current Body Mass Index (or weight and height)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We ask for weight information to help us understand the level of physical risk.
