{"id":122,"date":"2023-11-30T11:06:57","date_gmt":"2023-11-30T11:06:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/tissue-viability\/?page_id=122"},"modified":"2025-09-22T14:38:39","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T13:38:39","slug":"what-does-the-service-provide","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/tissue-viability\/service\/what-does-the-service-provide\/","title":{"rendered":"What does the service provide?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Upon receipt of your referral, and in discussion with your main health professional, we undertake a specialist nursing assessment.<\/p>\n<p>In many cases we are able to offer them specialist advice and a management plan to your nurse over the phone, or via email, without a face-to-face consultation.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes it may be appropriate for us to visit in which case we would arrange to see you with the health professional that referred you to us.<\/p>\n<p>We are based in Abingdon Community Hospital but our service can be provided to patients in their own homes, community hospitals, GP surgery, care home or mental health ward.<\/p>\n<p>There may be no further need of our service following the initial assessment and advice.<\/p>\n<p>At times however it may be appropriate for us to remain in contact and undertake further reviews.
