Witney Community Hospital — Oxfordshire

Overview

00016699Witney Community Hospital provides rehabilitation and end-of-life care for people who no longer need treatment in a main hospital but are not yet able to manage at home without extra support.

Our team includes nurses and occupational therapists. We are also supported by geriatricians, doctors who specialise in caring for older people.

Staff work closely with social care teams and other health and care services to help patients get the support they need during and after their stay in hospital.

Minor Injuries Unit (MIU)

This facility offers a Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) only and not a full Urgent Treatment Centre.

MIU is for injuries sustained within the last seven days only. If your injury is older than this, you should make an appointment with your own GP.

We do accept walk in patients with injuries but it is often more efficient to contact NHS 111 to make an appointment.

The MIU is not suitable for patients suffering from minor illnesses. If you are unwell, call 111 or access 111 online to book an appointment, or call 999 if the illness is life threatening.

MIU opening hours:

  • Monday to Sunday
  • 10am to 10.30pm
