Children with these conditions may need additional support so they do not miss out on their education<\/p>\n<p>Children and young people who have a long-term condition such as asthma, eczema, severe allergies or epilepsy may have specific health needs which school needs to know about. This will enable school to safely manage your child&#8217;s condition. A School Health Nurse can support you with this, and may review a care plan for school use.<\/p>\n<p>School nurses also deliver staff training on specific health conditions and provide support and advice around medicine management in schools.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Long term conditions refer to illnesses that may need monitoring for many years.
