CAMHS stands for Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services. CAMHS help children and young people up to the age of 18 who are finding it hard to cope with everyday life because of difficult feelings, behaviours or relationships. CeCiLiA<\/strong><\/p>\n Principal Investigator<\/strong>: Dr Eduarda Batista – Consultant Psychiatrist<\/p>\n Objective:<\/strong>\u00a0To understand the mechanisms and effectiveness of Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (C(E)TRs), designed to reduce psychiatric hospitalisation and encourage discharge for people with learning difficulties and autism. Young people (aged 5+) and adults, their families and carers, and healthcare professionals can take part by completing a survey.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n D-CYPHR\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Principal Investigator:\u00a0<\/strong>Dr Emma Fergusson – Consultant Psychiatrist<\/p>\n Objective:\u00a0<\/strong>To understand how biological, psychological, and environmental factors influence childhood health and the development of adult diseases.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SATURN<\/strong><\/p>\n Principal Investigator<\/strong>:\u00a0 Dr Mark Addison- Consultant Psychiatrist<\/p>\n Objective: <\/strong>To understand whether stimulant (MR-MPH) or non-stimulant ( Guanfacine XR) medication is most effective for treating children and young people who are experiencing both ADHD and tics.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/details>\n We have a verity of different studies.\u00a0 Some involve a questionnaires, some involve a therapy and some involve taking a medication.\u00a0 Some\u00a0 take place in our research clinics, in a clinical team base or sometimes they can take place in your home.<\/p>\n We are sometimes able to contact people directly about research, or get referrals from clinical teams.
