Long COVID/Post COVID-19 Syndrome Course

Long COVID/Post COVID-19 Syndrome Course

Are you living with Post-Covid Symptoms which are getting you down, or difficult to manage? Are you experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety because of this adjustment to living with a long-term condition?

What is Long-COVID?

Long-COVID refers to symptoms that persist for 12 weeks or more after the acute phase of COVID-19 and can last for months, or even years beyond the typical recovery period. We understand that living with Long-COVID can be challenging and can leave you feeling low, stressed, worried, and uncertain.

What is our Long COVID course?

Our Long-COVID course aims to help you manage symptoms, and understand how this condition can affect your mood, worry, sleep, energy levels and activities. Educational components will focus on managing persistent physical symptoms (such as fatigue, breathlessness, dizziness, and difficulties concentrating) and identify things you might be doing that might contribute to maintaining low mood and anxiety.  You will have an opportunity to learn cognitive behavioural techniques to help you understand how to manage worry and uncertainty, fatigue and energy management, negative thoughts, and how to maintain your well-being.

The Long-COVID course helps you to manage the condition and related emotional challenges, focusing on coping rather than getting rid of the physical problem.

The course runs for 8 sessions, lasting 90 minutes each session with planned breaks. The sessions will occur once per week, over 8 consecutive weeks. The course is facilitated by two experienced clinicians who aim to teach and support you.

Topics covered by the course

  • Post-covid symptoms
  • Goal setting
  • Worry management
  • Problem-solving

What are the benefits of attending a course?

  • Learning new techniques to help manage your own difficulties with low mood, anxiety and worry whilst living with Long COVID/Post COVID-19 Syndrome.

What if I don’t like the idea of being in a group?
