Introduction to NHS Talking Therapies

Watch a video introduction to NHS Talking Therapies for the treatment of depression and anxiety

Talking therapies are effective and confidential treatments delivered by fully trained and accredited NHS practitioners.

They can help with common mental health problems like stress, anxiety and depression.

You can access talking therapies for free on the NHS. You can refer yourself directly to an NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies service without a referral from a GP, or a GP can refer you.

If you choose to self-refer you can do so through the website or by calling our team. On the website you can do this by responding to the Limbic Self Referral Assistant or by completing an online form here.

If you would rather make your self-referral via telephone, please call us on 01865 901222 and speak to an administrator who will take your details (including your name, address, date of birth, registered GP) and book a telephone appointment with a member of our team.

Our telephone opening hours are:

  • Monday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
  • Tuesday to Thursday: 8.00am – 8.00pm
  • Friday: 8.00am – 5.00pm
