Veterans event
Members of NHS Oxfordshire Talking Therapies (OTT) attended a Health and Wellbeing Day at RAF Brize Norton last month.
It was a great opportunity to meet with the Armed Forces Community, including serving personnel, individuals approaching discharge and their families.
RAF Brize Norton is the largest RAF station in the country and approximately 3.9% of Oxfordshire County are Armed Forces Veterans.
It is common for the Armed Forces Community to experience low mood, anger and anxiety, often exacerbated by their experiences in the military.
The event at Brize Norton was an opportunity to explain the support offered by NHS Talking Therapies, with an emphasis on wellbeing in the run up to the Christmas period.
The OTT stress balls were particularly popular!
