This situation is under regular review.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Am I still on the waiting list?<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">Please be reassured that you remain on our waiting list unless we have written to you to advise otherwise<\/span>, or you have informed us that you no longer want an assessment or have had one elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p><span data-teams=\"true\">The Oxfordshire Adult ADHD service has no access to the NHS app, any messages received via the app are not directly from this service.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Where am I on the waiting list?<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p><u>The service currently has 3 waiting lists\u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Assessment<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211; This is for people who have been accepted for assessment for ADHD.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Post diagnostic consultation<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 This is for patients previously diagnosed with ADHD who require a clinical review specifically for a change in their treatment or a review of their diagnosis.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medication titration<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 This is for people who have been assessed and diagnosed by our team and would like to commence medication.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>At present we are not able to provide individual waiting list timeframes, as there are several factors which are not possible to accurately predict (and which means your timeframe might change). We appreciate this is frustrating news.<\/p>\n<p>We understand that our long waiting list is likely to be a contributing factor in any mental distress you are currently experiencing.\u00a0 as a non-emergency NHS service, we have a service policy of offering appointments purely on the basis of referral date, and we are unable to accelerate or prioritise your referral in any way.<\/p>\n<p>We are doing our best to see as many people as quickly and as safely as possible, and we are sorry for the considerable length of time it is taking for you to be offered an appointment.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst you are waiting to be seen, you may find some of the material on the \u2018Resources\u2019 section of our website useful.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Can my appointment be brought forward because of my needs?<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>We recognise that our long waiting list is likely to be a contributing factor in any mental distress you are currently experiencing.<\/p>\n<p>As a non-emergency NHS service, we have a service policy of offering appointments purely on the basis of referral date, and we are unable to accelerate or prioritise your referral in any way.\u00a0 This applies to all new patients, CAMHS transition patients, patients returning to the NHS and those seeking to revisit treatment.<\/p>\n<p>If you believe your mental health has deteriorated significantly, we encourage you to contact your GP to explore whether it might be appropriate to be referred to a mental health service.<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively you may wish to contact one of the following services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can contact your GP.<\/li>\n<li>Call NHS 111 for the 24\/7 Mental Health Helpline if you need urgent mental health support. This service is available to people of all ages in Oxfordshire &amp; Buckinghamshire.<\/li>\n<li>Text the word \u2018SUNRISE\u2019 to 85258 for the 24\/7 mental health text service to be connected to a mental health professional who will listen empathetically, provide support and signpost to local services where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Alternatively, you can call the Samaritans on 116 123<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">What support can I access whilst I&#039;m waiting?<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW39386521 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW39386521 BCX8\">Please see our \u2018Resources\u2019 page on this website for different forms of support which you may find useful.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"noSpacingAbove spacingBelow\" data-text-type=\"withSpacing\">In addition, a new online resource \u2014 <strong>\u2018Performance Mindset\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 has been launched by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust.<\/p>\n<p class=\"noSpacingAbove spacingBelow\" data-text-type=\"withSpacing\">Its aim is to support adults with ADHD and those awaiting assessment who struggle with getting boring, but important, tasks done.<\/p>\n<p data-text-type=\"withSpacing\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/mindset\/\">Performance mindset &#8211; Understanding ADHD and learning the art of getting things done<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Do you provide on-going prescriptions and annual reviews?<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We are <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">not<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> commissioned to provide on-going monitoring or specialist annual reviews of ADHD medication.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> In Oxfordshire at present, on-going monitoring is often carried out by your GP under a \u2018Shared Care Agreement\u2019. However, some Oxfordshire GP surgeries have recently decided not to enter into a Share Care Agreement with our service as they have concluded it is unsafe for them to prescribe with no service commissioned to carry out the required specialist annual reviews. As such, they have decided not to provide on-going prescriptions of adult ADHD medication until specialist annual reviews are commissioned by the NHS in Oxfordshire. This matter is being urgently discussed with the body which commissions and funds all NHS services in Oxfordshire \u2013 BOB ICB (Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board), and we hope there will be a resolution soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As a service, we are commissioned to offer a diagnostic assessment and initial titration of medication (where applicable) to adults aged 18-65.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">We also provide a \u2018Post Diagnostic Consultation\u2019.
