The evidence suggests that whilst there is a developing interest in the UK and elsewhere in incorporating spiritual understandings within health and social care and in counselling and psychotherapy contexts, in reality there is a gap between theory and practice.<\/p>\n
Our PGCert in Psychospiritual Care aims to support the development of an effective, holistic and inclusive cross-disciplinary approach to health and social care whereby practitioners are able to work collaboratively to understand the complex, significant relationships between their patients\u2019 and clients\u2019 medical, therapeutic and spiritual needs.<\/p>\n

- Practical and accessible training in psychologically-informed spiritual care for health and social care professionals of all cultures, faiths and beliefs;<\/li>\n
- Taught by educators and leaders within\u00a0Oxford Health NHS Trust<\/strong>\u00a0in partnership with\u00a0Oxford Brookes University<\/strong> over one academic year via study days and supported personal study;<\/li>\n
- Level 7<\/strong> (60 credits, resulting in a Postgraduate Certificate. It can be combined with other Level 7 modules to lead to a Postgraduate Diploma or Masters);<\/li>\n
- Applications are open<\/a> to start in September 2026. Applications will be considered and places offered at the end of June. Applications after this date may still be considered as long as there are still places available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
