Who we see

The people we see usually have accessed their local services but, for any number of reasons, the treatments offered have not led to significant or sustained change.

It is not our requirement that people will have had previous therapy. However, it may be that that local funding authorities will require that people have made appropriate use of local mental health services before considering a referral to us.

Children and young people

OHSPIC also offers treatment to children and young people aged six and over who are struggling with anxiety or trauma related problems.

OHSPIC will offer disorder specific CBT interventions to children with appropriate modifications in how this is delivered, such as including parents and carers in sessions, if helpful, and liaising with school or other organisations as appropriate.
