{"id":12,"date":"2024-03-19T09:01:10","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T09:01:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/mhd\/?page_id=12"},"modified":"2025-12-16T11:44:55","modified_gmt":"2025-12-16T11:44:55","slug":"professionals","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/oaceds\/professionals\/","title":{"rendered":"Professionals"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Referrals<\/h2>\n<p>Please use our referral form and send the completed form to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Email:<\/strong> <a href=\"mailto:oaceds@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\">oaceds@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>What to include<\/h3>\n<p>To help us assess the referral effectively, please include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recent weight and height (within the last two weeks)<\/li>\n<li>Any significant weight changes, if relevant<\/li>\n<li>The results of a recent blood test, including FBC, ESR, U&amp;E, LFT, TFT, magnesium, CRP, vitamin D, zinc, and a full bone profile<\/li>\n<li>Details of eating disorder thoughts and behaviours, including the frequency of any behaviours aimed at controlling or affecting weight<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you want a consultation to discuss a potential review please contact the service. A duty clinician is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm for consultation.<\/p>\n<h3>Inpatient referrals (SEDU)<\/h3>\n<p>Referrals for admission to a Specialist Eating Disorder Unit (SEDU) must first be referred to and triaged by the OACEDS team.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Referrals for patients under 18<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>For individuals under 18 years of age, please refer them to the CAMHS Single Point of Access in the first instance.<\/p>\n<h2>Emergencies in Eating Disorders<\/h2>\n<div class=\"nhsuk-care-card nhsuk-care-card--urgent\">\n                <div class=\"nhsuk-care-card__heading-container\">\n                    <h3 class=\"nhsuk-care-card__heading\"><span role=\"text\"><span class=\"nhsuk-u-visually-hidden\">Non-urgent advice: <\/span>Important: We are not a crisis service<\/span><\/h3>\n                    <span class=\"nhsuk-care-card__arrow\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/span>\n                <\/div>\n                <div class=\"nhsuk-care-card__content\">\n<p>Please note that <strong>we are not a crisis service<\/strong>.
