This has been a tough year for everyone and for many people, including students, the pandemic is having an impact on their mental health.
To help highlight the issue, and work being done to help tackle it, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust’s CEO, Dr Nick Broughton, will join Prof. Roz Shafran on Thursday 12 November at 6pm to speak at the 2020 Monica Fooks Memorial Lecture, organised by Somerville College.
The theme of the lecture is Student Stress and Coping During COVID-19 and you can book your place via https://www.crowdcast.io/e/monicafookslecture/register
Dr Broughton said: “It is really important to make sure we keep talking about the impact that the pandemic is having on mental health and I am really pleased to be able to speak at this important annual lecture.
“There is help and support for people experiencing mental health issues and Oxford Health provides access to a great deal of this. However now is a really good time for everyone to think about what they can do to look after themselves and those around them.”
Oxford Health is open for business and its services are accessible. For more information, including links to mental health support, visit: https://www.oxfordhealth.nhs.uk/news/we-are-open/
