The NIHR Clinical Research Facility: Oxford Health is seeking a Specialty Doctor in Clinical Research (Adult and Older Adult Psychiatry) to join our dynamic team at Warneford Hospital, Oxford.
Our CRF is the only NIHR‑supported Clinical Research Facility in England dedicated to mental health. Working in partnership with the University of Oxford, we deliver early‑phase research and experimental medicine that is transforming understanding and treatment of conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis and dementia.
This fixed‑term, full‑time role (£61,542 – £99,216 per annum, dependent on experience and NHS service) offers an opportunity to combine high‑quality clinical practice with cutting‑edge mental health research in an eight‑bed Clinical Research Facility, supported by experienced medical, nursing and research staff.
You will be on site full time, providing day‑to‑day medical care for research participants, including protocol‑driven assessments, physical and psychiatric examinations, and informed consent discussions, while managing participants’ clinical needs within specialist research clinics.
Working with a diverse population including healthy volunteers and people with complex mental health conditions, you’ll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, academic partners and study sponsors to support the safe and effective delivery of innovative studies.
Alongside clinical responsibilities, as part of the multidisciplinary team, you’ll contribute to study development, service improvement, training and patient and public involvement activities, all within a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment where protected professional development time is built into the working week.
