Oxford Health staff join NHS staff around the country this week to make their own personal pledges to improve the lives and care of their patients and fellow staff, as part of NHS Fab Change Day.
Taking place on Wednesday 19 October, the day is an annual event that gives NHS staff a chance to have a profound impact on patients’ lives, by pledging to make small changes to their day-to-day working lives.
Tens of thousands of staff from around the NHS have taken part in the annual event since 2013. This year, Oxford Health staff are being encouraged to use an app to use to record their pledges and share them with others via social media. Follow us on twitter @Oxford Health NHS FT or on Facebook, and look out for the #fabchangeday and #OHFTpledges hashtags.
Jo Atkins, senior programme manager with the Improvement and Innovation Team, said: “It’s not just about one day, it’s about making a commitment to make changes that last.”
“Making a pledge and sharing it with your colleagues and other NHS professionals can be really inspiring and motivate others to get involved, so I hope everyone takes the time to think about what little things they can do.”
To mark the event the Improvement and Innovation Team will be hosting a series of Randomised Coffee Trials for everyone to go along to. These events are taking place at Bicester Community Hospital, the Whiteleaf Centre and Littlemore Mental Health Centre.
