It includes links to e-learning, toolkits, videos, webinars and various publications helping you to expand your knowledge and skills to enable you to influence the health of the population.\u00a0Topics include alcohol, child health, housing and homeless, oral health, prevention, safeguarding, sexual health, smoking, substance misuse and wellbeing &amp; mental health.<\/p>\n<p>Public Health England\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/all-our-health-about-the-framework\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>All Our Health<\/strong><\/a> framework is a call to action to all health and care professionals to embed prevention within their day to day practice. Through educational materials, tools and resources, All Our Health helps professionals make an even greater impact in preventing illness, protecting health and promoting wellbeing. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-lfh.org.uk\/programmes\/all-our-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">All Our Health e-learning sessions<\/a>, freely available on the eLfH platform, have been developed to provide a bite-sized introduction to the wide range of topics covered within the All Our Health framework. Topics covered include adult obesity, antimicrobial resistance, best start in life, cardiovascular disease, homelessness, physical activity and social prescribing. Others are under development.<\/p>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Population Health Intelligence<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>PHE have developed a series of national training courses to build and develop population health intelligence capacity and capability in local public health systems. The <a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/library\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2018\/12\/FINAL-Training-prospectus-Population-health-intelligence.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Population health intelligence Training prospectus<\/a> (November 2018) sets out the range of courses available locally through your PHE Local Knowledge and Intelligence Service (LKIS). This training has been developed to support public health practitioners, including public health analysts, to increase their competency and confidence in using data to drive decision-making. However, the courses are suitable for anyone working in a population health role.<br \/>\nThe training available comprises classroom-based courses and e-learning. It can support individuals in their own behaviour change development as well as help workforce leaders in developing their workforce, whether they manage a team; are responsible for an organisation\u2019s workforce; or responsible for a workforce at a system level. View a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=m3DZg0jG-FU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">webinar [YouTube]<\/a> to find out more about the framework and toolkit or visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/behaviourchange.hee.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BCDF website<\/a> to explore the different elements of the framework and toolkit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Making Every Contact Count (MECC) &#8211; improving lifestyles and reduce health inequalities<br \/>\n<\/strong>Everyone who comes into contact with members of the public and has the opportunity to have a conversation to improve health. MECC encourages those conversations based on behaviour change methodologies (ranging from brief advice, to more advanced behaviour change techniques), empowering healthier lifestyle choices and exploring the wider social determinants that influence health.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Key resources are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.makingeverycontactcount.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Making Every Contact Count website,<\/a> including the\u00a0Implementation Guide and Toolkit,\u00a0\u00a0quality marker checklist for training\u00a0resources,\u00a0 an evaluation framework\u00a0 and TiPH podcast.<\/li>\n<li>NICE has developed a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nhs.us6.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=08639bcc803b15ab3fd9dc55e&amp;id=79fee69d55&amp;e=ee89f09b26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">suite of practical resources<\/a> to navigate relevant NICE guidance, standards, tools and shared learning on the NICE website.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-lfh.org.uk\/programmes\/making-every-contact-count\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MECC elearning resource<\/a> is available on the E-LfH website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2017, Royal Society for Public health and PHE launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsph.org.uk\/our-work\/policy\/wider-public-health-workforce\/measuring-public-health-impact.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Everyday Interactions toolkit<\/a>, a resource to support healthcare professions to record and measure their public health impact. \u00a0Working within the MECC agenda, Everyday Interactions aims to further the effect that preventative measures have on improving the public&#8217;s health.\u00a0 In a revised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsph.org.uk\/static\/uploaded\/cdff6f4f-7496-4d6b-80f759301c02f0c0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Everyday Interactions\u00a0report<\/a> they have updated the 11 impact pathway which include childhood and adult obesity, smoking and tobacco, dementia, falls, mental wellbeing and physical activity. There is also a short, free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rsph.org.uk\/our-work\/policy\/wider-public-health-workforce\/measuring-public-health-impact\/everyday-interactions-relaunch-for-2020.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">e-learning programme<\/a> which supports the toolkit.The e-learning introduces the impact pathways, demonstrates how they work and helps you identity actions which could be incorporated into your practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/movingmedicine.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moving Medicine <\/a><\/strong>is an initiative by the Faculty of Sport &amp; Exercise Medicine in partnership with PHE and Sport England. They work with clinicians, hospitals and patients to spread the word about the remarkably positive effects that just a little bit of movement can have on the symptoms of many common diseases. Moving Medicine have a range of consultation guides, tailored for specific conditions and patient age group. The toolkits will support conversations no matter how much (or little) time available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Self care<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/learning\/online-learning\/ole\/helping-patients-to-help-themselves-self-care-for-minor-ailments.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Helping patients to help themselves: Self care for minor ailments<\/a> &#8211; an RCGP online learning course.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-lfh.org.uk\/programmes\/supporting-self-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Supporting Self Care<\/a> e-learning from e-Learning for Healthcare is designed for healthcare professionals supporting people with long-term conditions. It will help them give people the confidence and skills to take greater control over their own health and wellbeing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Lifestyle training<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/clinical-and-research\/resources\/toolkits\/physical-activity-and-lifestyle.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Physical Activity and Lifestyle Toolkit<\/a> designed by the RCGP in partnership with Sport England, gives primary care professionals the resources they need to provide lifestyle advice. \u00a0At the same time a new <a href=\"https:\/\/r1.dotdigital-pages.com\/p\/49LX-5IR\/active-practice-charter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Active Practice Charter<\/a> aims to inspire and celebrate GP practices that are taking steps to increase activity and reduce sedentary behaviour in their patients and staff.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/movingmedicine.ac.uk\/activeconversations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Active Conversations <\/a>is a practical, evidence-based online learning course developed by clinicians, for clinicians that teaches how to have quick, effective and positive conversations that encourage patients to do more physical activity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alcohol brief advice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-lfh.org.uk\/programmes\/alcohol\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alcohol Identification and Brief Advice e-learning<\/a> (Alcohol IBA), helping you to identify those individuals whose drinking might be impacting on their health and delivering simple, structured advice.\u00a0 <em>(Find out about alcohol related hospital stays in your area using the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fingertips.phe.org.uk\/profile\/health-profiles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health Profiles tool<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fingertips.phe.org.uk\/profile\/local-alcohol-profiles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Local Alcohol Profiles for England<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Exercise<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ooc.peoples-uni.org\/enrol\/index.php?id=22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Exercise and Health <\/a>\u00a0is a free online course from Peoples-uni &#8211; a UK-based charity focused on providing affordable education in Public Health- which aims to encourage us all to perform and evaluate interventions to increase physical activity in our settings. <em>[Rregistration required]<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Smoking cessation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Try\u00a0the training module on how to deliver <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsct.co.uk\/publication_very-brief-advice.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Very Brief Advice on Smoking <\/a>devised by the National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training.<br \/>\n<em>(Find out the smoking prevalence and number of\u00a0smoking\u00a0related\u00a0deaths in your locality using the <a href=\"https:\/\/fingertips.phe.org.uk\/profile\/health-profiles\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Health Profiles tool.<\/a>)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Nutrition<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nutritank is an information and innovation hub for food, nutrition and lifestyle medicine which aims to\u00a0 increase nutrition and lifestyle education within medical school curricula.
