Plans include moving work out of hospitals into primary care, and more joined up services. For <a href=\"https:\/\/www.longtermplan.nhs.uk\/areas-of-work\/primary-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Primary care\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0this includes digital consultations, a greater role for multidisciplinary teams and pharmacies and many other plans.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 NHS England published their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/nhs-five-year-forward-view\/\">Five Year Forward View<\/a>,\u00a0 followed in 2017 by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/five-year-forward-view\/next-steps-on-the-nhs-five-year-forward-view\/\">Five Year Forward View &#8211; Next Steps<\/a>\u00a0 which outline a new vision for the future of the NHS based around new models of care.
