It is an evidence-based approach that helps primary care free up time to deliver initiatives and embed new approaches more effectively and efficiently into practice. QI helps GPs to make the most of their systems, organisations, talents and expertise to deliver better outcomes for patients.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/clinical-and-research\/our-programmes\/quality-improvement.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(Royal College of General Practitioners)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/publication\/an-introduction-to-quality-improvement-in-general-practice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">An Introduction to Quality Improvement in General Practic<\/a>e (NHS England) provides a simple, practical framework to follow for practice-based quality improvement, improvement activities for practices to try out, and additional support to those practices who have little experience of undertaking quality improvement activities.<\/p>\n<p>A NESTA report examinies where, when and which GP practices across England have taken-up promising innovations.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nesta.org.uk\/publications\/which-doctors-take-promising-ideas-new-insights-open-data\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Which doctors take up promising ideas? The aim is to make the principles and tools of quality<br \/>\nimprovement as accessible as possible for GPs and their practices teams.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/qiready.rcgp.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">QI Ready<\/a> is a free resource for all practices and has been developed to support GPs and practice teams with QI activities in practices.
