\n \n <strong>Immunisation<\/strong><\/span>\n <\/summary>\n

The Green Book “Multiple Choice Questions”<\/a> is a training resource for health professionals to test their knowledge and understanding of immunisation against infectious disease as outlined in the updated Green Book.<\/p>\n

Public Health England has published\u00a0Immunisation training standards for healthcare practitioners\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0which describes the training that should be given to all practitioners engaging in any aspect of immunisation so that they are able to confidently, competently and effectively promote and administer vaccinations.<\/p>\n

The Immunisation e-learning programme<\/a> on the eLfH platform is relevant to all healthcare practitioners with a role in immunisation whether they advise on or deliver immunisations. The\u00a0Flu Immunisation e-learning programme<\/a> on eLfH was updated in August 2020.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0primary care immunisation webinar series 2020<\/a>\u00a0 Each webinar focuses on a specific topic and lasts from 25 to 30 minutes. The programme for 2020 consists of 10 topics focused on the learning needs of immunisers in primary care. Further webinars will be added as they become available.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/details>\n

\n \n <strong>Sepsis<\/strong><\/span>\n <\/summary>\n
\n

Getting it right: The current state of sepsis education and training for healthcare staff across England<\/a> is the\u00a0 scoping report from Health Education England on GP educational needs for the diagnosis and management of Sepsis in primary care.<\/p>\n

70% of sepsis cases develop within primary care.\u00a0Identifying and managing sepsis in primary care is an important measure in reducing deaths.\u201cTHINK SEPSIS<\/strong>\u201d<\/a> is a Heath Education England programme aimed clinical staff in primary care with a view to improving the diagnosis and management of those with sepsis.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0sepsis educational digital game<\/a>\u00a0is an interactive training resource, enabling healthcare staff to spot the signs of sepsis, recognise deterioration and have the confidence to raise concerns.<\/p>\n

The short film by HEE\u00a0\u00a0Think sepsis: a film for all healthcare workers involved in the care of sick children<\/a>\u00a0is available on YouTube.\u00a0This awareness-raising teaching aid has been developed to help health care professionals spot and respond to the warning signs of sepsis in children.<\/p>\n

The Royal College of General Practitioners has developed a\u00a0sepsis toolkit<\/a>\u00a0to support GPs and healthcare professionals to identify and manage the condition in patients. This toolkit has been designed to help GPs and other healthcare professionals in primary care tackle this challenge with a series of educational materials, up-to-date guidance and training resources.<\/p>\n

Oxford AHSN has developed a\u00a0sepsis programme<\/a>\u00a0which focuses on standardising sepsis management across the sepsis care pathway. The programme has compiled a comprehensive collection of\u00a0education and training resources<\/a>\u00a0around sepsis as well as pathways, key documents and guidelines, patient story videos, and links to support patients and relatives.<\/p>\n

Sepsis in children: an update\u00a0<\/a>(2016) collated by NHS England for GPs, practice nurses and other health professionals within primary care.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/details>\n

Bacterial meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia in children – eLearning<\/a>\u00a0– This course helps healthcare professionals assess and manage children who present with possible bacterial meningitis and\/or meningococcal septicaemia.<\/p>\n

Improving the recognition, diagnosis and management of bacterial meningitis in young infants<\/a>– Eight interactive e-learning modules based around the clinical features of disease, clinical decision making, investigations, best practice management and appropriate follow up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/details>\n
