Resources to help primary care staff during the COVID-19 pandemic:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SafeLives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/safelives.org.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/resources\/Domestic%20abuse%20guidance%20for%20virtual%20health%20settings-%20C19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Five Rs of asking about domestic abuse<\/a> &#8211; Brief guidance for safe enquiry about domestic abuse in \u2018virtual\u2019 health settings such as on the telephone or online<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1aMl15xdqp-h3BU9_XXD94vGtGu_8GT8L\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Easy<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1aMl15xdqp-h3BU9_XXD94vGtGu_8GT8L\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> read posters to highlight the risks of Gender-based Violence <\/a>during the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IRISi <\/strong>have adapted all training to enable delivery by webinar. All practice staff are still able to access specialist IRIS training in DVA and are given the tools to ask about, and respond to, disclosures of DVA within both a virtual and face to face setting.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/irisi.org\/irisi-covid-19-doc-and-info-sheets-11\/\">Guidance for General Practice Teams \u2013 Responding to domestic abuse during telephone and video consultations.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/irisi.org\/covid-19-guidance-for-reception-and-admin-teams\/\">COVID-19 Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) Guidance for Reception and Administration Teams<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/irisi.org\/adaptations-to-iris-during-covid-19-3\/\">Adaptations to IRIS during COVID-19<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/domestic-abuse-a-resource-for-health-professionals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Responding to domestic abuse: a resource for health professionals<\/a> (<strong>Department of Health and Social Care<\/strong> 2017) draws on the NICE multiagency <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nice.org.uk\/guidance\/ph50\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">guideline on Domestic Violence and Abuse<\/a> on how to support adults and young people who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse, and dependent children in their households. It includes pointers to help practitioners identify potential victims, initiate sensitive routine enquiry and respond effectively to disclosures of abuse, and on how to deal with perpetrators of domestic abuse and violence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/clinical-and-research\/safeguarding\/domestic-abuse.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Domestic abuse<\/a> &#8211; a collection of resources from the <strong>RCGP\u00a0<\/strong> including <a href=\"https:\/\/irisi.org\/\">IRIS<\/a> &#8211; a practice based training, support and referral programme that can be commissioned locally.\u00a0 IRIS provides domestic violence and abuse training for general practice teams and specialist support for those experiencing DVA.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>RCN<\/strong> has developed a \u00a0collection of links to websites and organisations providing information\u00a0and support to victims of domestic abuse.\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcn.org.uk\/en\/clinical-topics\/Domestic-violence-and-abuse\/Professional-Resources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">resources\u00a0<\/a>are designed to assist nurses and midwives in supporting their patients and clients but also recognise that nurses and midwives may themselves be victims of domestic abuse.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Oxfordshire Safeguarding Children Board<\/strong> offers a wide range of training on various safeguarding related subjects including Domestic Abuse.
