(Note, the charity will be closing on 31st March 2021.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">National learning resources<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/future.nhs.uk\/GPCS\/grouphome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GP Career Support Hub<\/a> on the FutureNHS platform <em>[registration required<\/em>] contains resources to support GPs in England at varying stages of their career &#8211; from newly qualified GPs to those at the end of their career. It provides information, guidance and support on career development, training, mentoring, appraisals, career options\/flexibility, wellbeing, pay and pensions to enable GPs to realise fulfilling, rewarding and exciting careers in general practice. It includes a page of <a href=\"https:\/\/future.nhs.uk\/GPCS\/view?objectId=24317712#24317712\">Training &amp; development resources.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/courses-and-events.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal College of GPs<\/a> operates a credit-based system to support CPD and revalidation and a range of resources to help doctors meet their CPD and revalidation needs including the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/learning\/online-learning.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Essential Knowledge Update (EKU) Programme<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.e-lfh.org.uk\/programmes\/general-practitioners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">e-GP<\/a> \u2013 a series of e-learning modules jointly developed by the RCGP and e-Learning for Healthcare (e-LfH).<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasgp.org.uk\/appraisalaid\/1-continuing-professional-development-cpd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">National Association of Sessional GPs<\/a> (NASGP) supports locums and salaried GPs to improve patient care. The NASGP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasgp.org.uk\/appraisalaid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AppraisalAid<\/a> is a suite of information, tips and 20 customisable templates to support sessional GPs with appraisal and CPD.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gponline.com\/education\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GP Online<\/a> magazine offers online learning resources for GPs, with a separate section for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gponline.com\/education\/training\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GP Registrars and GP trainees.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/doctors.net.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doctors.net.uk<\/a> Registration is fee for UK doctors and gives access to a range of CPD resources.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/masterclasses.bmj.com\/primary-care-courses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BMJ Masterclasses Primary Care Courses<\/a> feature a programme of expert speakers who will keep you up-to-date in core clinical topics.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pulse-learning.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pulse Learning<\/a>\u2013 offers a range of modules across clinical and management topics targeted towards GPs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/egplearning.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">eGPlearning<\/a> &#8211; resources to help in clinical working, from general, clinical to pastoral.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Revalidation<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/revalidation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NHS Revalidation<\/a>\u2013 NHS England resources on medical revalidation<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/training-exams\/practice\/revalidation.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Revalidation<\/a> page on the RCGP website includes a range of resources to support doctors, appraisers and responsible officers in the appraisal and revalidation process including\u00a0\u00a0RCGP Mythbusters, revalidation audio guides, an Appraisal Toolkit\u00a0\u00a0and Resources for CPD.<\/p>\n<p>The RCGP has developed a framework which describes a new Framework to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rcgp.org.uk\/training-exams\/practice\/general-practitioners-with-extended-roles.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accreditation of General Practitioners with Extended Roles<\/a>\u00a0which is aligned to the appraisal and revalidation process.<\/p>\n<p>For GPs undertaking less than 40 clinical sessions a year, appraisal includes an additional tool which contains a structured reflective template intended to facilitate reflection by the appraisee, and discussion within the appraisal, about your ability to provide safe quality care for patients, where necessary with the aid of mitigating interventions.\u00a0Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bma.org.uk\/-\/media\/files\/pdfs\/employment%20advice\/appraisals\/supporting%20doctors%20who%20undertake%20a%20low%20volume%20of%20nhs%20general%20practice%20clinical%20work.pdf?la=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guidance <\/a>and BMA Practice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bma.org.uk\/connecting-doctors\/the_practice\/b\/weblog\/posts\/when-you-work-fewer-than-40-sessions-a-year-of-uk-general-practice-new-guidance-to-support-gps-appraisers-and-ros\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">blog<\/a> describing the process.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpappraisals.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GP Appraisals and Revalidation<\/a>\u00a0website brings together the key policy documents and resources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Personal resilience<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>According to a survey of more than 1,000 GPs, 40% said they were experiencing a mental health problem, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mind.org.uk\/news-campaigns\/news\/two-in-five-gps-have-a-mental-health-problem\/#.W4zz7OhKiUk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">survey<\/a>, carried out by Mind, found that despite the high prevalence of mental health problems among GPs, many didn\u2019t feel able to turn to colleagues for support.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gphealth.nhs.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NHS GP Health Service<\/a>\u00a0 is \u201ca confidential NHS service for GPs and GP trainees in England\u201d which will \u201chelp with issues relating to a mental health concern, including stress or depression, or an addiction problem, in particular where these might affect work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bjgp.org\/content\/66\/651\/528\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Ten Commandments for the resilient practitioner<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; &#8220;an honest and heartfelt attempt to be supportive to colleagues.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Read about the <a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/library\/cpd-zone\/cpd-by-topic\/personal-resilience\/\">resilience resources<\/a>\u00a0available to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Looking for funding to support your education or research? <\/strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairewand.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Claire Wand Fund<\/a> can provide scholarships and grants for research and the further education of doctors working in general practice.
