General Practice Dementia online training

In 2015 the government developed the Dementia Training Standards Framework for health and social care staff, outlining three tiers of dementia training, in order to develop staff skills in dementia care. Health Education England Thames Valley has commissioned training specifically aimed at GP practices at the Tier 2 level.

FREE 1-hour webinars have been developed which meet meet the Tier 2 aims in the areas of:

• Dementia identification, assessment and diagnosis – webinar on 13 November 2018 1-2pm
• Pharmacological interventions in dementia care – webinar on 20 November 2018 1-2pm
• Law, ethics and safeguarding in dementia care – webinar on 27 November 2018 1-2pm
