{"id":1915,"date":"2024-09-13T09:41:29","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T08:41:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/hv\/?page_id=1915"},"modified":"2026-07-15T11:17:35","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T10:17:35","slug":"infant-feeding","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/hv\/antenatal\/infant-feeding\/","title":{"rendered":"Infant feeding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During your pregnancy you may well be thinking about feeding your baby when they arrive.<\/p>\n<p>Your midwife will offer you the opportunity to talk about feeding your baby during one of your appointments, and you will be invited to attend antenatal classes.<\/p>\n<p>There are also a number of antenatal feeding information sessions offered in the county by voluntary organisations.<\/p>\n<p>You will be given skin-to-skin contact with your baby as soon as they are born as this will help calm your baby after the birth and keep them warm.
