
{"id":16,"date":"2021-09-28T12:40:24","date_gmt":"2021-09-28T11:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/carer\/?page_id=16"},"modified":"2025-09-16T12:37:21","modified_gmt":"2025-09-16T11:37:21","slug":"triangle","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/carers\/about\/triangle\/","title":{"rendered":"Triangle of Care"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ohft-box gray\">\n<h2>Working together<\/h2>\n<p>We have adopted a national initiative called the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carers.org\/resources\/all-resources\/72-triangle-of-care-membership-scheme-in-england\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Triangle of Care<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>which is a therapeutic alliance between service users, staff and carers that promotes safety, supports recovery and sustains wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>When all three parties work together they create the triangle of care most likely to optimise safety, opportunity and recovery for the service user and be most helpful for the carer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Sharing knowledge<\/h2>\n<p>Carers have the knowledge and expertise about the person they care for and therefore should be active and equal partners in the delivery of care wherever possible.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Triangle of Care<\/strong>\u00a0outlines six key standards that are designed to make sure families, friends and carers are better involved and informed in the provision of care and supported in their caring role.
