We offer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Initial appointments<\/strong> to discuss and begin ADHD medication.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ongoing reviews<\/strong> for young people who continue to take ADHD medication.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Who we see<\/h2>\n<p>Young people referred to the ADHD medication clinic must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have a formal diagnosis of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/camhs\/self-care\/adhd\/\">ADHD<\/a>, <\/strong>with a diagnostic report that meets <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nice.org.uk\/guidance\/ng87\/chapter\/Recommendations#diagnosis\">NICE guidelines.<\/a><\/li>\n<li>experience symptoms that significantly impact their daily functioning or ability to concentrate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We will also require consent from the young person that they are happy to take medication.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">We do not<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>prescribe medication for any other conditions such as Tourettes<\/li>\n<li>provide any other support for your child&#8217;s mental health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to refer<\/h2>\n<h3>1. Referral via CAMHS Single Point of Access (SPA)<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A referral to the CAMHS ADHD clinic can be made through our <a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/camhs\/bucks\/spa\/\">Single Point of Access team<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>We accept referrals from parents, carers, professionals and young people over 16.<\/li>\n<li>As part of the referral you will be asked to send us a copy of the young person&#8217;s ADHD diagnostic report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>2. Medication Following an ADHD Diagnosis within Bucks CAMHS<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>if a young person has received an ADHD diagnosis following an assessment within Bucks CAMHS, families can opt in for medication within 6 months of the assessment appointment and be added to the ADHD clinic waiting list.<\/li>\n<li>If more than 6 months have passed since the assessment, a new referral must be made via our <a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/camhs\/bucks\/spa\/\">Single Point of Access team<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who we are The ADHD clinic is a specialist team supporting children and young people aged 5 to 18 years old with the treatment of ADHD. .
