Link workers are members of the CAMHS team, but are actually employed by voluntary sector organisations.<\/p>\n
Since 2024 there are link workers in all of the Getting Help<\/strong> and Getting More Help<\/strong> CAMHS teams in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.<\/p>\n What help and support might you get from a link worker?<\/strong><\/p>\n Link workers work with children and young people to support them with things like:<\/p>\n Accessing activities in their local communities to reduce social isolation.<\/p>\n For example:<\/p>\n Getting help from other organisations if this would help to improve their mental health.<\/p>\n For example:<\/p>\n Getting to know a young person and building a trusting relationship with them.<\/p>\n Particularly with young people who might find this difficult.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/details>\n Accessing self-help materials and starting to learn about using some of the strategies these contain.<\/p>\n This might for example be ways of improving your sleep, low mood or anxiety.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/details>\n Link workers work with children and young people at various points.<\/p>\n They might work with you:<\/p>\n Usually you will see link worker regularly for a period of a couple of months, but everyone\u2019s circumstances are different so this might vary.<\/p>\n You can read more about the two organisations who employ CAMHS link workers below:<\/p>\n Who are link workers?
