{"id":195730,"date":"2024-05-02T15:46:47","date_gmt":"2024-05-02T14:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/camhs\/?page_id=195730"},"modified":"2024-09-09T14:54:12","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T13:54:12","slug":"ecm","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/camhs\/bsw\/ecm\/","title":{"rendered":"Enhanced Case Management (ECM)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What we do<\/h2>\n<p>Enhanced Case Management (ECM) uses a trauma-informed approach to support young people in complex situations who are working with the Youth Justice Service (YJS).<\/p>\n<p>We use the Trauma Recovery Model (TRM) to develop a shared understanding (or \u2018psychological formulation\u2019) of how a young person\u2019s experiences might be impacting upon their current presentation.\u00a0We then tailor our recommendations based on this understanding.<\/p>\n<p>ECM is a collaborative service between Clinical Psychologists from the NHS and Senior Practitioners\/Trauma Champions from YJS.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ohft-box gray\">\n<p>Please watch this Enhanced Case Management (ECM) explainer video:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Enhanced Case Management Explainer Video\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0F_gf54MUZQ?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Who we work with<\/h2>\n<p>ECM operates across Youth Justice Services in the South West (North) region:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bristol<\/li>\n<li>North Somerset<\/li>\n<li>South Gloucestershire<\/li>\n<li>Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES)<\/li>\n<li>Swindon<\/li>\n<li>Wiltshire<\/li>\n<li>Gloucestershire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ECM is an indirect service. We don\u2019t meet with young people but instead work with professionals in their network including their YJS Case Manager.<\/p>\n<h2>Referral criteria<\/h2>\n<p>Referrals are made by YJS Case Managers who are seeking further support and guidance for their work with a young person aged 10-18 years who have experienced trauma.<\/p>\n<p>ECM offers two options for input:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Formulation<\/strong> \u2013 for those on a Court Order of six months or more we offer a multi-agency team formulation meeting, ongoing reviews and formulation report written by a Clinical Psychologist.
