We offer an alternative to inpatient admission.<\/p>\n<p>We work with the most unwell young people, families and local community services to provide high-quality care as close to home as possible, via an \u2018out of hospital\u2019 service meaning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Unnecessary admissions are avoided<\/li>\n<li>Demand on families to travel long distances to visit their loved ones in hospital is reduced<\/li>\n<li>Enhanced continued engagement with community clinical teams is available<\/li>\n<li>Where admission cannot be prevented, early therapeutic leave from inpatient units to support transition is encouraged<\/li>\n<li>Length of stay in inpatient units is minimised.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Our role<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>We support teams working with young people, including placement, education, families, or carers, on a day-to-day basis.<\/p>\n<p>We provide specialist interventions through a multidisciplinary team who have experience working with people who have learning disabilities and\/or autism along with other mental health diagnoses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Our approach<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>Our team is very experienced and uses a variety of therapeutic approaches to give young people the best personalised care. The parents and carers who know them best are always involved.<\/p>\n<p>The team works alongside local community services to improve patient outcomes. Patients may meet the whole team or just a few members.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone works together to provide the best care for a young person.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">Where we work<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>As part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/camhs\/t4\/\">Thames Valley Specialised Children and Young People Mental Health Services Provider Collaborative<\/a>, we work across:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bath and North East Somerset<\/li>\n<li>Berkshire West<\/li>\n<li>Buckinghamshire<\/li>\n<li>Gloucestershire<\/li>\n<li>Oxfordshire<\/li>\n<li>Swindon<\/li>\n<li>Wiltshire<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The team work with patients from across the region.
