Inspiring Hope

Stories of Change from CAMHS
Inspiring Hope is a campaign celebrating the real experiences of young people who have been supported by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
It shines a light on the difference CAMHS makes, not just in moments of crisis, but in the long journeys that help young people move forward, grow, and thrive.
What the campaign is about
Every year, CAMHS works with thousands of young people facing challenges with their mental health. Many go on to lead full, confident and fulfilling lives, but their stories often remain untold. Inspiring Hope tells those stories, to benefit others.
Through personal accounts from former CAMHS patients, the campaign highlights the impact of compassionate care, support, and the dedication of clinicians.
What we’re trying to achieve
The campaign has three aims:
- Support young people and families by showing how CAMHS has helped others with similar experiences, helping reduce stigma and uncertainty.
- Help current conversations in care by offering relatable stories that clinicians can use when talking with young people aged 10–17.
- Create a way for former patients to “give back” by sharing their journeys and celebrating the role CAMHS played in their lives.
How we’re doing this
Inspiring Hope gathers real stories from former CAMHS patients and shares them through:
- Short videos
- Posters and digital content
- A dedicated online space featuring extended stories, behind‑the‑scenes insights, and ways to get involved
All materials link back to the trust’s website, where visitors can explore more stories, learn about CAMHS, and find support.
