Meet The Team

Our team is made up of a mixture of different people with different experiences, trainings, and backgrounds. Although we all have different life experiences, we all share the same ethos and passion of supporting young people who live in care. This is our team:

Lyuba Copestake (Operational Lead)

Hello, I’m Lyuba and I am the Operational Lead for the Bucks CAMHS ACE Team.

I began my career as a Mental Health Nurse, and now am very proud to be a part of our team – everyone is so caring and committed to improving the lives of young people – it’s motivating to work in a service where people genuinely want to make a difference. Being able to contribute to positive change for those who need it most is what drives me. Our team is friendly, supportive and open, and I’m often learning something new from my colleagues and from the young people and families we support.

My faith is a central part of who I am. It shapes my values of and keeps me going in tough times. I enjoy spending time in my garden and caring for my indoor and outdoor plants – I have a dream to be able to keep an Orchid alive! I also listen to loads of audiobooks and to really help me relax, I play Zelda on my Nintendo.

Dr Joe Clacey (Consultant Child and Adolescence Psychiatrist)

My name is Joe and I am a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, working in the Bucks CAMHS ACE Team. I also work in the Outreach Service for Children and Adolescents (OSCA).

I am medically qualified doctor who has had specific training in working with young people and their mental health conditions. The biggest part of my role is assessing for and managing medications for young people within the ACE Team. I also support with helping make particular diagnoses and managing situations that might be particularly risky for young people or their families.

Other than being a fan of working in teams with long names, I am an avid watcher of American Sports especially Basketball and American Football. Sadly though, I am only any good at watching them! I live out on a farm, and really enjoy being out in the country.

Dr Emily Goodwin (Clinical Psychologist)

My name is Emily, I am a Clinical Psychologist.

In my job, I work with children and young people, and their parents or carers, to help everyone understand and manage big feelings better. This can help life to feel a bit easier at home or school.

Sometimes talking can help, and sometimes I bring toys or art supplies and use those instead if talking is tricky! I particularly like to work with schools to help teachers understand why school can be difficult for some people.

When I’m not at work, I live at home with my husband and children and pet guinea pigs. I like decorating cakes (and eating them), and watching movies, and I really, really would like to get a dog!

Dr Hannah Hook (Clinical Psychologist)

Hello, I’m Hannah and I am a Clinical Psychologist. I work with children and the important people around them to help understand what is going on when things are difficult, and to find ways to make things different. I help people in lots of different ways and start by trying to put together information to make a clearer picture of what is going on. I might then go on to talk to young people to help them make sense of difficult past experiences, or understand and calm big feelings; to do this we might use drawing, games or go for a walk if it is hard to talk initially.

Sometimes I may also work with parents, carers, schools and other professionals to help them understand what they can do differently to support someone – it is really important to me to work towards the goals young people have for themselves.

Outside of work I enjoy going for long walks with friends and family, and then eating yummy food or watching a film on the sofa. I like being part of my local community and try to get involved in different ways, like being a school governor or helping out at the football clubhouse. I love travelling and can’t wait to have more adventures abroad in the future!

Dr Beth Angell (Clinical Psychologist)

My name is Beth and I am a Clinical Psychologist. This means that I work with children and young people and their parents or carers to help them make sense of their thoughts or their feelings.

I support children and young people to think about what big feelings they might be finding a bit tricky at the moment. We can talk about different experiences that you might have had growing up or about things that you’re finding difficult at the moment. Sometimes, if you don’t feel like talking, we can play with toys or get arty by drawing or painting. I also work with parents and carers to help them better understand the experiences of the person that they are looking after.

I love being outdoors in the countryside! I’m a big fan of swimming in open water like lakes and the sea (although it gets very chilly in the winter!). I also love to dance and don’t think there’s anything more relaxing than sitting down to do a puzzle or read a book.

I don’t have any pets at the moment, but I have wanted to get a dog for years – I would love to get a Golden Doodle and name it after a Harry Potter character!

Dr Charlotte Watson - currently on Maternity Leave, retuning Spring 2026 (Clinical Psychologist)

Hi, I’m Charlotte and I am a Clinical Psychologist. This means that I work with children and young people, and their parents or carers. My role is to help everyone make sense of their thoughts and feelings better.

In our sessions, we can talk about different experiences that you might have had growing up or about things that you’re finding difficult at the moment. Sometimes, if talking is tricky, I will bring in toys or art supplies and we can use those instead. I also like working with parents and carers, and other important adults in children and young people lives, including teachers and social workers. Sessions can help these adults better understand the experiences of the young people that they are caring for. This can help life to feel a bit easier at home or school.

In the last few years I have been completing short distance triathlons (an event which involves swimming, cycling and running). I like spending weekends out in the countryside on my bike with my husband. I also really enjoy yoga, and this helps me relax! Spending time with my friends and family is important to me, and my favourite thing to do is to go out for food! Mexican and Italian meals are my favourite, because I love cheese!

Dr Rebecca Bolam (Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist)

Hi, I’m Becca and I am a Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in the Bucks CAMHS ACE Team!

Wendy Franza (Consultant Mental Health Practitioner)

My name is Wendy and I am a Consultant Mental Health Practitioner in the Bucks CAMHS Ace Team.

My role is to support children, young people and those looking after them. I want to help children and young people to overcome struggles that they might be having by helping them to feel that they can begin to talk about their experiences and I am also passionate about helping adults to understand what is going on for children and young people rather than just seeing behaviours and making judgements about behaviours.

I like keeping fit with cycling and yoga.  I love reading and you can find me curled up in a chair reading books a lot of the time! I like spending time with friends and family and I like cooking for people. I value compassion, gentleness and kindness.

Katy Ward (Consultant Mental Health Practitioner)

My name is Katy and I am a Consultant Mental Health Practitioner and a trained Social Worker. I work with the Buckinghamshire Children’s Residential homes providing support for emotional and mental health to young people living there. I also support the staff so they can keep on doing all the great work and care with their young people.

I can help with things like mood, anxiety, self-esteem, understanding emotions and self-harm. Sometimes it is hard to trust others, especially if adults have been unsafe or untrustworthy, so I will work hard to build trust by getting to know each-other first. We can then decide together ways for to you reach your full potential. If you don’t feel ready to talk, I can help the adults around you to understand you and your experiences better.

I love cooking, seeing musicals, live concerts, coffee & exploring new places, and I have a cat called Frank who is grey with “white socks and tuxedo” markings.

Alice Wooding (Administrator)

Hi, my name is Alice and I am the Administrator for the team. My career so far has been mainly in Early Years Education based within nursery settings for over eight years. I was also part of the admin team for a SEN school and residential provision, which gave me so much admiration for the work for and around young people with special needs, learning disabilities and more. I am passionate about to being part of such a wonderful team that is always striving to improve the wellbeing and care of young people who need a little extra.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my family and friends. I love the countryside and am often found outdoors on walks, camping, or taking part in sport. I also have many hobbies including crochet, needle felting and drawing to name a few, and have recently welcomed a new puppy into my household!

Lauren Nicklin (Business Manager)

My name is Lauren and I am the Business Manager for the team. I am a Sports Injury Rehabilitation Therapist by background, and did that for many years, meeting lots of interesting people and the odd famous face along the way, too!

My job nowadays is ‘behind the scenes’ in Bucks CAMHS, and I work with the Service Managers, Team Managers, Clinicians and Administrators to help make sure that we’re doing the best that we can in all areas to ensure we’re giving our young people, colleagues and network partners the best service possible. I work with data mostly and look at the ways we work together as teams in the wider Bucks CAMHS service to see what we’re doing well, but also what we could be doing better – we are always learning and reviewing what we do to make sure we can be as helpful and effective as we can be… for everyone.

Outside of work my love for sport lives on, being an avid Football, Tennis, F1, Rugby & Darts fan, aiming to attend any of these sports as often as possible. I love riding horses, the countryside, travelling, spending time with my friends and family and walking my two sausage dogs named Frank & Stanley as often as possible!
