It is estimated that approximately 800 refugees have or are about to take residence in Buckinghamshire. The forced migration experience is complex, it disrupts family, culture and separation from one\u2019s ethnic group or community, not to mention the potential direct or indirect exposures to violence, and war trauma.<\/p>\n
Buckinghamshire Talking Therapies and the Buckinghamshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) were asked to pull together relevant information that might help professionals like yourself in managing the mental health needs of refugees or asylum seekers.<\/p>\n
Drawing on best practice and evidence base and learning from other experts within crisis response services like the Grenfell disaster, this webinar cover some of the common experiences of refugees, what support might look like, how to seek support and other useful resources and information on this topic.<\/p>\n
