{"id":5,"date":"2024-01-26T15:18:41","date_gmt":"2024-01-26T15:18:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/adhd-oxon\/?page_id=5"},"modified":"2025-12-15T16:41:42","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T16:41:42","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/bucks-adult-adhd\/","title":{"rendered":"Buckinghamshire Adult ADHD Service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Buckinghamshire Adult ADHD Service provides:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diagnostic assessments for new patients and titration of medication when appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Clinical reviews for patients open to this service.<\/li>\n<li>Advice and consultation to GPs and Adult Mental Health Teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"ohft-box red\">\n<h2>Important<\/h2>\n<p><strong>We are paused to new referrals from 5 February 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Due to the unprecedented number of referrals received by the Buckinghamshire Adult ADHD Service which far outstrips its current capacity, we have taken the difficult decision to pause to all new referrals from 5 February 2024.<\/p>\n<details class=\"nhsuk-details\">\n                    <summary class=\"nhsuk-details__summary\">\n                        <span class=\"nhsuk-details__summary-text\">What to do during this period<\/span>\n                    <\/summary>\n                    <div class=\"nhsuk-details__text\">\n<p>During this pause period, the service will continue to offer assessment and treatment to existing referrals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This decision is exclusively for <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Adult ADHD<\/span>, and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">not\u00a0<\/span>CAMHS ADHD\/NDC services.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For anyone seeking a new referral to our service, GPs may decide to support people to choose from an alternative NHS-approved provider under the NHS Right to Choose rules.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone experiencing challenges with their mental health can continue to access support for their mental health care in the usual way via their GP, talking therapies or the Buckinghamshire NHS 24\/7 Mental Health Helpline via 111.<\/p>\n<p>We apologise for the impact this will have and we look forward to being open to referrals again in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n                <\/details>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Buckinghamshire Adult ADHD Service provides: Diagnostic assessments for new patients and titration of medication when appropriate.
