Sarah’s nomination

Sarah works in the CAMHS service supporting those who have complex needs who require a robust multiagency approach to ensure that all of their needs needs are being met.

Sarah has been in this role for at least three years and the difference she makes to the lives of children and young people is outstanding.

Sarah has a natural ability to be first and foremost an advocate for children, young people and their families , they are at the centre of everything she does.

Sarah can often be found negotiating with commissioners and encouraging others services to provide the care and treatment that is needed regardless of whether “this isn’t what we usually do”, during all of this Sarah treats everyone with compassion and respect.

Sarah works beyond what would be expected in her role, no stone is unturned and she keeps going until young people and their families get what they need.

Parents cannot speak highly enough of Sarah, for some of them they have been unheard for so long then Sarah comes along and walks beside them ensuring that they are being heard every step of the way.

We are so incredibly lucky to have Sarah working in our service and the difference she makes to families is a joy to watch.
