Helen’s nomination

Helen is an outstanding member of staff in all that she does.

Whilst at work she always gives 100% and continuously strives to improve the care that she gives to her patients. She has one of the most complex caseloads and regularly interacts with and co-ordinates multiple agencies to ensure her patient’s needs are at the fore.

She is wonderful colleague who always has time to answer a question, offer advice and truly listens to those she supervises.

Her passion for her role and her dedication to her patients has led to Helen seeking opportunities outside of the trust to promote the service and improve patient care.

At this particular moment in time she has forged new links with the Consultant team to enable us to join their monthly MDT meeting, is setting up an exercise circuit for people with neurological conditions that will be run by a local gym, arranged for the team to provide local education for people with newly diagnosed Parkinson’s linked with Parkinson’s UK and is trialling evidence based treadmill training as an alternative treatment option.

All this whilst maintaining her waiting list and caseload and on only 20 hours a week.

Helen is truly a shining star and is highly deserving of this award.
