{"id":24,"date":"2024-03-05T13:45:32","date_gmt":"2024-03-05T13:45:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/baadis\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2024-03-11T19:22:51","modified_gmt":"2024-03-11T19:22:51","slug":"post-diagnostic","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/oxfordhealth.nhs.uk\/baadis\/diagnosis\/post-diagnostic\/","title":{"rendered":"Post-Diagnostic Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Why?<\/h2>\n<p>If you receive a diagnosis of autism within\u00a0our\u00a0service, you will be invited to attend our\u00a0Post\u00a0Diagnostic Group.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to allow our\u00a0clinicians\u00a0and autistic individuals to share\u00a0their\u00a0experiences of working or living with autism.<\/p>\n<p>It is opportunity for you to learn\u00a0more\u00a0about autism, reflect on what autism\u00a0means\u00a0for you and have your experiences validated.<\/p>\n<h2>What?<\/h2>\n<p>Topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is autism and your diagnostic journey<\/li>\n<li>Social communication and interaction in autism<\/li>\n<li>Sensory processing differences in autism<\/li>\n<li>Anxiety management<\/li>\n<li>Day-to-day executive functioning strategies<\/li>\n<li>Signposting to services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personalised information based on discussion, feedback and requests can be provided.<\/p>\n<p>Information and resources are emailed after each session.<\/p>\n<h2>How?<\/h2>\n<p>6 weekly sessions. You will attend either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Online via MS Teams, or<\/li>\n<li>A face-to-face group at The Whiteleaf Centre (Aylesbury) or Saffron House (High Wycombe)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Who?<\/h2>\n<p>Two clinicians typically facilitate the group.<\/p>\n<p>Maximum of 8 people per group in total.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why?
